Many places “drop” a symbol of their community at midnight on New Year’s Eve and throughout the evening engage in celebrations in the streets of the town.
In the Borough of Shippensburg our symbol is an anchor and we have a great celebration downtown for several hours beginning around 8:30 PM. During this time, Christ United Methodist Church is open to the public to “warm up” and use our facilities, engage in indoor activities (for both children and adults), and of course consume food and hot and cold drinks. There is no cost to the revelers for these activities.
We invite you and all to participate in this community event and visit us at Christ.
